Goudgeel, Oud Bruin: Booklaunch & Stadswandeling 💛🤎 Marres viert haar 25-jarig jubileum met een reeks van 10 speciale evenementen, die elke 25e van de maand plaatsvinden. Het laatste event uit deze reeks is de presentatie van Goudgeel, Oud Bruin: een bijzondere boekje gewijd aan de rijke geschiedenis van de brouwersfamilie Marres.

Met Goudgeel, Oud Bruin, geschreven door Renée Schmeetz, wandel je door het verleden van de familie, de stad en het bier. Elke halte op de route vertelt een verhaal. Van 1641, wanneer het eerste, vrouwelijke familielid brouwer wordt, tot 1959 als de laatste Marres-brouwerij zijn deuren sluit. De wandeling leidt je naar Marres in de Capucijnenstraat 98. Tot 1964, woonden hier Pierre en Corrie Marres met hun gezin.

Tijd: De wandeling van 15:00 zit al vol, maar er zijn nog plekken voor de extra wandeling om 13:00.
Locatie: verzamelen in de receptie van Marres

Schrijf je in voor de Goudgeel, Oud Bruin-stadswandeling door het centrum van Maastricht, met schrijver Renée Schmeetz als gids. Per koppel of gezin koop je het boekje incl. wandeling ‘Goudgeel, Oud Bruin’ voor €20 (normale prijs €25).

Goudgeel, Oud Bruin: Book launch & city walk 🤎💛 Marres celebrates its 25th anniversary with a series of 10 special events, taking place on the 25th of each month. The final event in this series is the presentation of Goudgeel, Oud Bruin, a special booklet dedicated to the rich history of the Marres brewing family.

With Goudgeel, Oud Bruin (loosely translated as Golden, Amber Brown), written by @reneeschmeetz, you walk through the past of the family, the city, and its beer. Each stop along the route tells a story — from 1641, when the first female family member becomes a brewer, to 1959, when the last Marres brewery closes its doors. The walk leads you to Marres at Capucijnenstraat 98. Until 1964, Pierre and Corrie Marres lived here with their family.

Time: The 3PM walk is fully booked, but there are still spots available for the 1PM walk (in Dutch).
We recommend that participants purchase one booklet per unit, individual, couple, or family for €20 (regular price €25).
