The Art of Curating
Extended started with the four-month art project The Art of Curating on 21 September 2024 with a new group of young adults.
From arranging Spotify playlists and taking care of Instagram feeds to organizing events or building exhibitions, curating has become part of our everyday. For this edition of Extended, Marres and JvE invite teenagers and young adults with an interest in contemporary art, design, and culture to tap into curatorship and discover ways of shaping the world through content, connections, and experiences.
Together with artist Céline Mathieu and through a series of workshops, the Extended group will learn to tell stories to different audiences, apply analytical skills to decision making, and learn to find relevance, context and quality in a sea of possibilities. The programme will culminate in a public group exhibition.
