In 2013 Marres started the Euregional talent project Marres Currents, an annual group exhibition showcasing the work of recent graduates from art academies in the southern Netherlands, Belgium, and North Rhine-Westphalia. The exhibition is curated by an annually changing team of young curators selected from an open call and framed by a training- and network program that actively contributes to the professionalization of young artists and curators. The artists receive training on how to produce and present their work and how to build an international network.
In 2018 Marres welcomed Z33 (Hasselt, BE) as a full co-producing partner in the project, which was from then on titled Currents. Over 110 young international artists and twenty curators have participated in the project to date. Other partners include Kunstpodium T (Tilburg) and FLACC (Genk).
