Sanne Vaassen - 17 & 22 July
Sanne Vaassen is a visual artist and alumnus of the Maastricht art academy and the Van Eyck academy. She exhibited her work in, among others, Schunck, Kasteel Wijlre and the Bonnefantenmuseum. For Marres, Sanne Vaassen designed the scent walk In Search for lost Time. During this session, she will provide a short introduction and subsequently accompany the participants on the first part of the walk.
Tip: Purchase the scent guide (In Search for Lost Time, cost: 20 euro) with map and scent sticks. The guide can be used by several people at once.
Roderik Povel - 29 July & 7 August
Roderik Povel is vocalist, composer and vocal coach at the Maastricht conservatory. His versatile work includes recordings of 20th century songs, jazz and Gregorian music (with Schola Maastricht), but also solo vocal pieces and poetry readings. In addition, he makes musical theater and audio tours. In 2018, Roderik presented two sensory trainings for Marres, one about the voice, the other about silence. During this session, he will focus on the topics from the exhibition Yes, Please! with voice practices, breathing techniques and the resonance of physical reflexes.
Manou Koreman - 31 July & 5 August
Manou Koreman is a performer and yoga teacher with a deep interest in the layered complexity of human movement. She trained and worked in New York, Berlin and London before she moved to Brussels. She currently works with Katja Heitmann (NL), Asphalt Piloten (CH) and Antonio de la Fe (UK). In Marres, Manou performed in Katja Heitmann’s exhibition Museum Motus Mori (2019). For the session this summer, Manou develops a movement session in which participants become conscious of their bodies and environment through the use of all their senses.

Maarten van den Berg - 15 & 24 July
