The Senseverter is a fantasy machine designed by Premium students. Students from different faculties who carry out a practical assignment at Marres as part of their master study. They investigated the phenomenon of synesthesia and the function of the brain (e.g. that some composers write music better with color than with musical notes). The students came up with an imaginary machine in which you can try out for yourself how you can transform one sense into another.
How to make a Senseverter
Cut out the Senseverter and fold it into a box. Stick it together with the adhesive strips. There will be an opening at the top. Stand in front of a piece of art. Imagine a sense (sound, image, movement) of the artwork in the opening of the Senseverter. Give the Senseverter a twist and transfer the sense to another one.
